يحكى ان شاباً صالحاً كان ماراً قرب احد البساتين فلفتت تفاحة مرمية على الارض , التقطها من فوره وقضمها فقد كان جائعاً و لا يملك المال ليشتري الطعام ,
فجأة شعر بتأنيب الضمير إذ كيف له ان يأكل التفاحة دون إذن من صاحب البستان .
قصد الفلاحين الذين يعملون في البستان و سألهم عن صاحب الملك وحاجته الى أن يسامحه على أكل التفاحة دون إذنه , دهش الفلاحين وظنوا ان هذا الشاب معتوهاً , لكنه اصر على لقاء صاحب البستان فاخبروه انه قاضٍ يقطن في ولاية بعيدة فشد الرحال اليه ودخل المجلس مع الاشخاص المتظلمين والشاكين وعندما اتى دوره ساله القاضي عن مشكلته
قال انه اكل تفاحة من بستانه دون اذنه ويريد ان يسامحه
سُر الرجل من امانة الشاب و قال له لن اسامحك على شرط ؟
بُهت الشاب وقال سأنفذه أن كان بأستطاعتي ,قال الرجل : الشرط أن تتزوج ابنتي لكنها للأسف عمياء , صماء ، بكماء ، عرجاء !
قال الشاب : لكنني غير مؤهل للزواج ، فأنا طالب علم فقير و زوجة بهذه المواصفات تحتاج الى مُداراة ورعاية ، ثم انها ستعيقني في تنقلاتي من مدينة الى اخرى
أصر الرجل ( هذا هو شرطي ولن اسامحك )
استسلم الشاب راضيا بقضاء الله و قدره .... و أقيم حفل الزفاف ، وقبل ان يدخل الى حجرة عروسه صلى صلاة الشكر وحمد رب ثم ازاح الستار ويدخل على عروسه،
أخذته الدهشة ,فالفتاة كانت آية في الجمال والحسن وفي تمام الصحة والعافية ,خرج ليستفسر عن الأمر
وكان بإنتظاره والد العروس الذي كان الذي كان يتوقع أنه سيأتي إليه ليسأل ,قال :
أعلم أنك ستأتي مدهوشاً ,والآن أفسر لك ما قصدت,
فأما قولي لك أنها عمياء فهي مؤمنة غضت بصرها عن مشاهدة كل محرم ومنكر, وصماء بكماء لا تسمع ولا تتحدث بالغيبة والبهتان , وعرجاء فهي جليسة دارها لا تخرج إلا لقضاء حوائج المساكين ,
فقد ربيت ابنتي تربية صالحة وكانت عابدة تقية فلم أجد لها زوجاً أميناً صالحاً في مستوى أمانتك حتى ذكرت قصتك التي عبّرت عن دقة أمانتك وخوفك الشديد من الله عز وجل .

The young man and the apple

It is said that there is a young man was passing by a grove and an apple thrown on the ground caught his eyes.He picked up and ate it because he was so hungry and did not have money to buy food.Suddenly,he felt remorse as he ate the apple without the permission of the owner of the garden.
So,he desided to seek for the farmers who works there and ask them about the owner and his need for him to forgive him for eating the apple without his permission.The farmers got astonished and thought that this man idiotic but he insisted to meet the proprietor.So,they told him that he is a jurist inhabited in a remote state.
As a result,he decided to go abroad to that state to go to the council and enter with the comlaintants and grievants and when his turn came,the jurist asked him about his problem.He told him that he ate an apple from his grove without his allowing and want him to forgive him.The jugde felt joy with the honesty of the young man and told him that he will not pardon him except under condition.
The young man faded but told him that : I will do it if I can.The man said that : the condition is to marry my daughter but unfortunately she is blind,deaf,dumb and lame.The young man replied that : but I am unqualified to marriage as a student and poor and a wife with such characteristics needs to care and politeness and she will hinder me in my travels from one city to another.
The judge insisted that:this is my condition and otherwise I will not tolerate you.The young man surrendered satisfactorily to judgement and destiny and the wedding was held and before he entered to his bride’s room,he prayed prayer of thanks and thanked his God.Then,he removed the curtain to enter to the room and when he saw her,he got amazed because the girl was a verse of beauty and goodness and in perfect health and wellness.Hence,he went out of the room to inquire about the matter.
The bride’s father was waiting for him as he expected him to come to ask ,he said:I know that you will ask me astonishedly and I will explicate what I meant.
As for telling you that she is a blind because she is a believer in God and does not see the forbidden and defamation and that she is deaf and dump because she does not hear or say backbiting and abomination and that she is lame because she is keeping sitting at home and does not go out except for helping poor people.
I raised my daughter with a good upbringing and she is a worshiper and devout and l do not find a good and faithful husband in the level of your honesty unless when I remember your story which could portray accuracy of your faith and your extreme fear from God.
